Matt Shaker, BBA.
President
Matt Shaker is the founder and president of Superior Lawn & Landscape, Inc dating back to 1994. He started the company while attending college at the University of Michigan where he earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Along with attending the university, Matt has attended many industry specific classes through organizations such as the Michigan Nursery Landscape Association, Michigan Green Industry Association, the Professional Landscape Network i.e. PLANET and many others.
He is much involved in the community, from charitable events to the Chamber of Commerce in Fenton, MI, where he lives. Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also enjoys traveling, golfing, playing basketball, and lifting weights.
Matt’s love for the industry has grown increasingly stronger since he started the company. Giving people the opportunity to spend more time with their families and less with yard work and landscape projects is what Matt appreciates most.
Matt contributes the success of the company to long-standing relationships with clients and vendors, referrals, and the most knowledgeable staff the industry has to offer. Most of Superior’s employees have been with the company since it started.

Paul Phillips
Vice President
Paul Phillips has been in the landscape industry since 1994 and is the Vice President of Superior Lawn & Landscape, Inc.
Paul is an active member in the Michigan Nursery & Landscape Association (MNLA), and the Genesee Area Landscape & Nursery Association (GALNA), and the Michigan Green Industry Association (MGIA).
In addition to many years of field experience, Paul keeps up to date on current landscape trends by attending various workshops and design seminars.
Paul and his wife Kerri live in the Fenton area and have two children. When Paul is not spending time with his family he enjoys golf.

Jennifer Hunter
Landscape Designer
Jennifer Hunter graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from Michigan State University in 1995. Since then she has been working as a Landscape Designer and Consultant for various firms throughout Oakland and Genesee County. Jennifer has won several awards for her residential landscape designs over the years including one presented by the MNLA and 3 awarded by the MDLA.
Jennifer and her husband Cory enjoy spending time with their two boys and volunteer in their Grand Blanc community. When she’s not working, Jennifer enjoys golfing, leading her son’s Tiger Cub den and traveling.
Jennifer is knowledgeable in all areas of design and really listens to her clients. She can take any ideas you have and turn them into a functional landscape design.

Carol Broecker
When you call our office, the first person that will greet you is Carol Broecker. Carol is our friendly office manager who is always willing to do her best to help our customers. Her responsibilities include answering the phones, setting up appointments for special services, and handling accounts payable and receivable.
Carol and her husband Ryan have two children, a daughter named Meagan and a son named Justin. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering at her church and spending time with her extended family. Carol is the newest member of the Superior team and has been a valuable asset to the company since July of 2007.
